Survey Highlights

·        Healthcare capacity (60%), social housing (55%) and immigration (49%) are overwhelmingly the primary issues on voters’ minds.

·        Tougher hate speech laws are considered a priority by just 4% of the population.

·        1 in 4 feel restricted in social situations like the pub to speak their mind freely.

·        1 in 5 feel restricted around neighbours.

·        90% believe it is important to express their opinion without fear.

·        7 in 10 feel freedom of speech is highly valued in Ireland.

·        6 in 10 (59%) disagree with freedom of speech being less important than other rights.

·        1 in 4 are concerned about losing their right to freedom of speech.

·        9 in 10 agree freedom of speech is very important to them.
